MedPharm Ltd is an innovation-driven
pharmaceutical development company committed to the identification, creation
and development of unique therapeutic systems for topical use specialising
in drug delivery to the skin, mucous membranes, eye, nose and lung.
MedPharm offers a unique and highly specialised service in the area of pharmaceutical contract research and development. Capabilities comprise analytical, formulation, and in-vitro testing work and the project scope can range from simple feasibility tests to the preparation of clinical supplies for Phase I/II trials and technology transfers to manufacturing sites.
The team combines years of commercial experience
in the pharmaceutical industry with the benefit of high-calibre scientists
. MedPharm now has over 45 employees with in excess of 35 in R&D.
MedPharm has a range of partners from large pharmaceutical to small biotechnology companies who require tailored solutions during the development of their products.
Additionally, MedPharm is actively developing it's own proprietary drug delivery technologies in the topical and pulmonary fields which can be made available to third parties on a 'Licensing and Technology Transfer' basis.

History
MedPharm was created in 1999 as a
spin-out of King's College London by Prof. Chris Marriott, Prof. Gary
Martin and Prof. Marc Brown, all from the Department of Pharmacy, and
also Dr. Andrew Muddle, who joined the company at formation as Chief Executive.
MedPharms R&D laboratories were originally
based at Kings College London but MedPharm has grown at such a pace that
aquiring our own dedicated R&D facilities became essential. In autumn
2006 the Pharm R&D Centre was relocated to Surrey Research Park, Guildford
allowing significant expansion of R&D activities.

Facilities
MedPharm's R&D Centre and main laboratory facilities
are located in Surrey Research Park, Guildford. Refurbishment of the new
laboratories at Surrey Research Park has provided MedPharm with an excellent
base to service both our current and future growth plans and is convieniently
located being close to London and its major airports.
MedPharm's laboratories are GLP accredited.
MedPharm also has access to
a GMP facility which is based close to London.
